The AHRQ sponsors and conducts research that provides evidence-based

and access. Its website provides an excellent overview on new scientific
data and currently ongoing projects in the field of health services
research.
Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) - one of the major
operating components of the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services,
founded in 1946 to help control malaria. CDC applies research and
scientific findings with the public health objectives of preventing
and controlling infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace
hazards, disabilities, and environmental health threats.
The Cochrane Collaboration is an international non-profit organization, providing current systematic
reviews of and information about the effects of health care. The

European Medicines Agency (EMEA) - the European institution regulating market access of innovative
